Works great for me

True not most intuitive UI, but once you figure it out its quite easy. Landscape mode - yes. I should mention that any incoming call or alert, etc will stop timelapse recording. Trick is to put phone in airplane mode, turn off auto-lock, switch to silent and let it run. Ive made movies with over 600 images. Love it.
